5 essential cleaning steps
you'll want to know

A little practice every day keeps your whole home clean.

1

Top to bottom — Dust falls with gravity. Clean ceilings, shelves, then floors — always in that order.

2

Dry before wet — Remove larger debris with a dry cloth before wiping with a damp one.

3

Use bicarbonate of soda — A bicarb paste is brilliant for grease and limescale in kitchens and bathrooms.

4

The 'while you're at it' habit — Wipe down the sink while you brush your teeth. Small, effortless habits make a big difference.

5

Ventilate once a week — Just 10 minutes with the windows open resets humidity and odours.

Q&A on Home Cleaning

Answers to frequently asked questions from our readers.

Bicarbonate of soda (alkaline) and citric acid (acidic) will neutralise each other if used simultaneously, reducing their effectiveness. Use them separately depending on the task. Citric acid works well on limescale and soap scum; bicarbonate of soda is great for grease.
Hardwood floors are sensitive to moisture. Wipe along the grain with a well-wrung cloth, then immediately dry with a clean, dry cloth. Using a diluted mild detergent can help with grease.
You can order by phone (+81334868899) or email (info@sparklenest.example) via the buttons on each product page. We're available weekdays 9:00–18:00 (JST).
Soak the filter in hot water mixed with bicarbonate of soda (3–4 tablespoons) for 1–2 hours. Place it in a large plastic bag with the mixture, seal, and simply rinse afterwards.
Sprinkling bicarbonate of soda and then vacuuming it up is safe and effective for pet odours. Some essential oils can be harmful to pets, so we recommend a natural bicarb spray instead. Don't forget to clean your air purifier filter regularly too.
